This session will introduce our host company, Univar Solutions, including a safety share and a site visitor safety briefing prior to the site tour.

NACD will review updates from the first year of the new program, recap of progress, common findings, and tips for a successful verification. This session will also include the launch of the new “Sustainability Tracker” tool.

This session focused on the changing workforce and efforts Univar is doing to promote safety training and develop experienced safety professionals.

Monitoring, implementing, training, and reviewing as it relates to Regulatory Compliance are the core concepts found under Code II of Responsible Distribution, but often companies don’t know what they don’t know. Keeping up with the evolving Regulatory landscape can be challenging. This session will dive into practices of excellence and tools to demonstrate conformance with Code II.

Get ready to engage and work together through this interactive session. Participants will explore real life example scenarios involving safety related incidents to determine the root cause.

Participants will rotate through three different small groups to discuss Code specific safety related topics. After the small group discussions, the group will come together to report on their key takeaways. Discussion questions will be based on the following:

• Code I –Senior Management commitment to safety
• Code II.D. sites safety and loss prevention
• Code III – Carrier/selection and private fleet safety
• Code IV.A/B on facility safety or safety with loading/unloading
• Code V.C/D on training for safe work practices/safety critical job
• Code VI.D creating a safe work environment
• Code VII – Safety preparedness
• Code VIII.H/I on response to threats and incidents
• Code IX.B on disseminating safe use information
