An introductory session geared towards those new to NACD and Responsible Distribution. Join other’s new to the program to learn the basics on program implementation and overall requirements, navigating a verification and available resources. This session is free to attend; however additional registration is required.

• What is Responsible Distribution
• Basic Timeline
• Working with the Verifiers
• Understanding the Specifications
• Day of Verification
• Corrective Actions

This session will introduce the new Responsible Distribution program coming in 2023, helping members and affiliates understand the program level changes, updated resources, and highlights of the improved Verification Dashboard.

Before the new changes to Responsible Distribution are implemented, let’s look back on some of the existing Codes. This session will review existing Codes I through V, with an emphasis on the key-takeaways from 7th Cycle verifications and common struggles. This session will also review any new guidance being released, examples of conformance, and ways to demonstrate continuous improvement ahead of your next verification.

Before the new changes to Responsible Distribution are implemented, let’s look back on some of the existing Codes. This session will review existing Codes VII, and IX through XIII, with an emphasis on the key-takeaways from 7th Cycle verifications and common struggles. This session will also review any new guidance being released, examples of conformance, and ways to demonstrate continuous improvement ahead of your next verification.

Meet the new Code VI: Sustainability! This session will provide the background and industry perspective on the topic of sustainability before introducing the Code VI changes. Attendees will receive an overview of the new Code VI structure, and discuss the specification requirements.

Expanding on new Code VI: Sustainability, this session will provide a review and training on a subset of the specifications (VI.A. – VI.F) related to Corporate Social Responsibility.

Expanding on new Code VI: Sustainability, this session will provide a review and training on a subset of the specifications (VI.G – VI.N) related to the environment, water and energy use, recycling, re-packaging, reselling, reusing, as well as other waste minimization efforts.

The discussion will cover best practices and how to move forward developing a sustainability program that fits your company’s operations.
