The COVID-19 pandemic created unprecedented demand for hand sanitizer ingredients and unforeseen challenges for chemical distributors. This webinar will present the perspectives of three different chemical distributors involved in hand sanitizer on how they reacted to the decisions and challenges presented by the coronavirus, including liability concerns, adjusting to staffing uncertainties, reacting to changing supply chains, getting involved in their local communities, and responding to frequently changing regulations. Following the presentations, there will be 10 minutes of Q&A.

NFPA Code 30 - Flammable and Combustible Liquids

NFPA Code 30 is incorporated by reference into the Occupational Safety & Health Administration’s (OSHA) hazardous materials regulations and outlines how to safely store flammable and combustible liquids. Presenter Mike Marando, Senior Engineer, NFPA, shares how to navigate NFPA 30 for containers and tanks, how to establish Maximum Allowable Quantities (MAQs) and sprinkler requirements, and how to approach emergency tank venting calculations and tank siting requirements. NACD Webinar Broadcast: What to Expect from an EPA Inspection

Under Toxic Substances Control Act of 1976 (TSCA) Section 11, an U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) TSCA inspection can occur at any time. While no one looks forward to receiving such a notice from EPA, knowing what to expect and how to prepare will make the entire process easier. This webinar provides an overview of how an EPA audit occurs, what records EPA may ask for, and what EPA is looking for in those records. It also provides some recommendations on what companies can do now – before receiving the dreaded notice – to ensure the inspection goes well.

This webinar goes through the process and expectations for working with your assigned verifier as you prepare for and conduct your next verification.     During this webinar, James Murphy from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) informed attendees of the current cybersecurity threats facing their businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic. Mr. Murphy will also review the resources CISA has available to identify and combat cyberattacks and discuss risk mitigation techniques to prevent these disruptive incidents.
