5 Ways to Digitally Transform Your Business

  • Thursday, April 6, 2023 | Noon - 1:00 pm (ET)

We're sure you've heard the industry buzz: you need to go digital. Have you heard this and wondered what 'going digital' means? Or are you worried it will be expensive? Building organized, automated and digitized processes now will position you to hit the ground running with systems that will streamline and optimize daily work for decades. The more of your processes you can digitize, the more adaptable you’ll be to changing market conditions.

Manual methods, such as hand-writing orders and physically walking them to a lab, are tedious and time-consuming, wasting valuable labor hours. Automating everyday tasks allows you to maximize productivity while keeping operations lean.

Join us for a webinar, presented by Sean Doran and Eric Dompkowski, Datacor’s Customer Success Team. This session will discuss the many options for moving data collection and review from paper or a desktop computer to a mobile device such as a barcode scanner tablet, or mobile phone. Whether you want to simply count your inventory or have a customer sign for an order on your driver’s tablet, we’ll show you how to get started.

The webinar will end with a fast-paced Q&A session. We look forward to seeing you there!

Reinstatement of Superfund Tax on Petroleum Products – Impact on Chemical Distributors

  • Thursday, November 3, 2022 | Noon - 1:00 pm (ET)

The Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 reinstated the Hazardous Substance Superfund Financing Tax Rate on Crude Oil and Petroleum Products, effective January 1, 2023. This is in addition to the reinstated Superfund chemical excise tax that took effect on July 1, 2022. Certain liquid taxable substances subject to the chemical excise tax may also be petroleum products. When a chemical product is both a taxable substance and a petroleum product, it is taxed as a petroleum product, with the taxes due when entered into the United States. This is likely to have an impact on NACD members and cause even more confusion.

Please join NACD for a webinar to be presented by tax attorney Douglas Charnas of McGlinchey Stafford PLLC and chemical regulatory experts Lynn Bergeson and Richard Engler, Ph.D. of Bergeson & Campbell, P.C. They will discuss the newly reinstated tax rate and how to determine its impact on your business.

Media Training

Talking to the media is like no conversation you will ever have. It is even harder when you are also in the middle of an unfolding situation or crisis. To complicate things further, eye-witnesses immediately begin to post live videos, recorded videos, photographs and ugly posts the instant your situation becomes visible. If you don’t speak and issue a statement, the information void is filled by rumors and speculation, which can hurt your revenue, reputation, and brand. Wow! That sounds like a lethal combination. How do you win?
Gerard Braud has been helping organizations on five continents prepare for interviews for more than 25 years. Based on the 15 years prior to that when he was a television reporter, he has devised proven techniques to help organization prepare their statements on a clear sunny day. His training techniques also involve having key elements built into each statement. The final part of the training is to move at the speed of social media to finalize the statement and then get it out to the media, your employees, customers, community and other stakeholders. From this webinar, attendees will touch on the secrets you need to know in order to prepare before your event, as well as how to quickly deliver a perfect statement.
