Advising & Assistance

NACD is committed to helping our members and Affiliates better understand the commitment, resources, and the many aspects of a successful Responsible Distribution program.

Responsible Distribution Mentor

The Responsible Distribution Mentoring Program is a valuable resource that offers comprehensive assistance for companies implementing Responsible Distribution. Participants work directly with a Responsible Distribution expert and receive one-on-one guidance that is tailored to your business. NACD will also cover most of the program costs, including up to 8 hours of onsite consultations.

To learn more, please contact Mike Lang.

A Near Miss: An unplanned event that did not result in injury, illness, or damage – but had the potential to do so. Only a fortunate break in the chain of events prevented an injury, fatality or damage; in other words, a miss that was nonetheless very near. (National Safety Council)

Employees are often trained to work “safely”, but are not trained to identify near misses or made aware of the positive impact that near miss reporting can have to ensure that employees are engaged in their operations.

The following are actual near miss examples submitted by NACD members confidentially for the purpose of providing lessons learned for an improved chemical industry.

There are no submissions at this time.
