Congressman Austin Scott Tours Georgia Chemical Distributor Lintech International LLC
MACON, GEORGIA, OCTOBER 25, 2012 – Lintech International LLC received a visit yesterday from U.S. Congressman Austin Scott (R-GA). The Lintech leadership team and employees welcomed their U.S. Representative with a tour of the distribution facility and operations, a discussion of the legislative and regulatory issues facing the company, and a community reception with area elected-officials, the Macon Economic Development Commission and industrial park business representatives. “We really appreciated Rep. Scott coming to visit Lintech International and allowing us to demonstrate for him the benefits of Responsible Distribution in maintaining a safe, effective and responsible chemical distribution supply chain.” commented Dennis Gillespie, President, Lintech International.
Congressman Scott acknowledged Lintech's history of growth, and discussed safety measures undertaken through Responsible Distribution. Responsible Distribution is NACD’s mandatory environmental, health, safety and security program that has resulted in NACD members being 80% safer than non-NACD members in the chemical distribution industry.
“It was an honor to meet the leaders and employees of Lintech International today,” said Congressman Scott. “It is great to talk with people about their jobs in Georgia firsthand and learn about Responsible Distribution. I will continue to work in Washington to ensure business friendly environments that allow companies like Lintech to grow.”
