Rep. Mike Pompeo (KS) Tours Barton Solvents, Inc.'s El Dorado, KS Facility
Barton Solvents, Inc.'s El Dorado, Kansas facility was honored by a visit from U.S. Congressman Mike Pompeo (R-KS) today. Barton Solvents, Inc. is a member of the National Association of Chemical Distributors (NACD).
Barton Solvents' employees and leadership team welcomed Rep. Pompeo with a tour of the facility, and an opportunity to meet and speak with Barton Solvents' employees. He discussed the chemical distribution industry’s important role in the supply chain in Kansas and the United States. He acknowledged Barton Solvents' commitment to safety through Responsible Distribution; NACD’s mandatory environmental, health, safety and security program that has resulted in NACD members being 80% safer than non-NACD members in the entire industry.
“I am glad to meet with the talented leaders and employees at Barton Solvents to learn about their jobs, and Responsible Distribution,” Rep. Pompeo said. “The work the company does here in El Dorado is vital to our economy. I will continue the work in Congress to establish common sense policies that create a safe, secure and thriving business climate for Barton Solvents and the community.”
Barton Solvents is family owned company that was started in 1938 in Des Moines, IA and continues to be a stocking distributor, offering inventoried products from a variety of suppliers. They service customers in 13 states from six locations in the Upper Midwest. Industries served include aerospace, paints and coatings, petrochemical, and food/pharma.
