Following the aftermath of Hurricanes Harvey, Irma, and Maria, NACD is providing the following information to inform chemical distributors about the impacts of the storms and offer resources for emergency preparedness and response.

NACD is currently working with organizations representing distributor supply chain partners and government entities in and around the affected areas. Below are resources distributors can use to ensure the safety and security of their products and their employees.

FEMA NBEOC Daily Coordination Call

Due to the continuing response efforts for Maria, you are invited to attend a Joint Critical Infrastructure Stakeholder/NBEOC Coordination Call hosted by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), National Protection and Programs Directorate (NPPD), and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). The purpose of the teleconference is for attendees to receive an overview of the current situation, a brief overview of analytical products, and to hold an open discussion period on critical infrastructure impacts, shortfalls, and current or possible mitigation efforts.

  • What life-safety commodities are you transporting? (Only-life-saving/life-sustaining commodities will be allowed.)
  • How many trucks, and how are trucks marked?
  • What is the end destination and known route?
  • What IDs do drivers have?
  • ETA for destination?

Law enforcement must have all information being requested in order to work your access!
