Up to No Good: NLRB Offers Same Old Antics on Proposed Union Election Rule
Earlier this week, NACD signed onto comments submitted by the Coalition for a Democratic Workplace (CDW) criticizing the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) for its proposed rule on the filing and processing of petitions for union representation elections. The proposal is quite similar to one issued by the NLRB back in June 2011 that would have changed long-standing union representation election rules.

On Feb. 6, 2014, House Committee on Homeland Security Chairman Micheal McCaul (R-TX), Subcommittee on Cybersecurity, Infrastructure Protection and Security Technologies Chairman Patrick Meehan (R-PA), and Representative Gene Green (D-TX) introduced a bipartisan bill calling for a multiyear authorization of the Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards (CFATS).
