Calendar of Education Events

NACD offers a wide range of education and training courses to meet the needs of all members and Affiliates.  Topics covering various aspects of the chemical distribution industry are available through in-person training and via the web.

NACD Annual Conferences and Meetings

NACD Annual Meeting 

The NACD Annual Meeting, open only to NACD members and Affiliates, is the premier meeting and expo for chemical distributor company members. It provides opportunities for executives to exchange ideas and discuss issues with industry peers in distributor and supplier companies. Educational sessions focus on the latest techniques and trends affecting the industry, while the exhibiting vendors demonstrate their latest processes and services.  

OPSEM

NACD's Operations Seminar and Trade Show (OPSEM) brings together chemical distribution professionals to learn the latest regulatory requirements, technical information, and transportation and logistics improvements affecting chemical distributors and related chemical-using industries.

Regional Meetings

NACD is comprised of four regions each hosting an annual meeting which focuses on topics and issues specific to their region. 

The University of Industrial Distribution (UID)

UID is a concentrated educational program focused on the unique needs of the industrial wholesale distribution industry.  NACD is proud to co-sponsor the UID Conference along with the leading industrial distribution professional associations and in cooperation with the Industrial Distribution Program of Purdue University. Known worldwide for excellence in education, these groups take great pride in providing a superior learning experience.  Held annually at the beginning of March, UID has sold out the past five years. 

Young Distribution Professionals Conference (YDP)

Having just completed its second year, the Young Distribution Professionals Conference is an exciting new program designed specifically for young professionals looking to advance their careers in the distribution industry. This conference brings together young professionals representing nearly 40 different distribution industries.  Information about this conference will be available in Spring 2009 for the August 2009 event.
 

Responsible Distribution Process (RDP)

Workshops and Webinars

NACD offers two annual workshops and approximately 4-6 webinars each year to assist member companies to become compliant and learn about changes and improvements to RDP.  Resources, templates, archived presentations, and a schedule of RDP events are all available online.
 

Quarterly Webinars

NACD offers 4-6 webinars each year on topics such as inventory management, human resources, customer service, marketing, and cost savings.  These courses are generally 1 1/2 hours in duration and participants can either choose to join the live session or purchase the audio recording.  Through a partnership with the Association Education Alliance (AEA), NACD members and Affiliates can participate at the member rate.
